FAQ

Can I join if I no music background?

You don’t need to be musical to take part in or benefit from music therapy. Qualified music therapists plan and provide musical experiences for their clients. Each session is tailored to the needs and goals of the client.

How frequent and how long are the sessions?

Music therapy is a tailor-made service, so the length and frequency of sessions are based on clients' needs. The general music therapy sessions are 45 minutes weekly to build consistency and routine, which helps achieve the therapy goals.

Can I have a trial session?

We conduct a client's assessment through two initial sessions. In progression, we should build rapport and determine musical interventions that clients respond to. Then, we plan to achieve the therapeutic goals. For the client's benefit, we do not suggest judging the effectiveness of music therapy in one session. Please complete the online enquiry form, and JMusic Therapy Services will be in touch to discuss your needs.

Can I join if I haven't a diagnosis?

Why not! Music therapy sessions support participants' needs, such as behavioural and emotional issues not specific to a person with the diagnosis.

How much of the music therapy session?

Our music therapy services are billed in line with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (updated annually). The exact fee may vary depending on whether the service is individual or group-based, and whether it takes place onsite, online, or in the community.
We are qualified Registered Music Therapist (RMT) and we are part of Australia's recognised Allied Health Professional . We can work with participants who are self-managed, plan-managed, or agency-managed.Please contact us directly for a personalised quote tailored to your needs.
